December 15, 2023  Psalm 122:7-9  7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.  8 For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.  9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.  Friends, I greet you in the Advent season as we await the coming of our Lord, the Christ  Child, the Prince of Peace.   Even as we wait, we prepare our homes and surroundings for the special event, remembering  the birth of Christ. But it is the sad case that the Christmas season does not promote a sense  of peace. Quite the contrary.  There is the hustle and bustle and long traffic lines. People sometimes need to pull  themselves away from the confusion the season tends to generate. The noisy mood of  Christmas, especially in cities, bears no resemblance to the originally remembered Christmas  [...]
